It is my hobby and passion towards stamps of various countries. At the start i did not take serious in this matter. When i saw foreign stamps they are beautiful and tell us different stories. Gradually i got many stamps and i needed books to get them pasted inorder.I have divided into european countries and asian countries.Iam veey happy to see them whenever i get stress. I have many note books with beautiful stamps which am colelcting from my school days.We used to exchange stamps between friends.Wenever we get letters from other countries i remove those stamps eagerly and take a look at to read the currency and picture description in it before pasting. I have seen many old stamps are much larger in size than the new ones. Do you collect stamps? If so, for how long you are into this hobby?

It is great to know that people are still collecting stamps. I thought it was a dying art now that people send e-mails instead of letters and letters get franked or have stickers rather than stamps. In England we still have some commemorative ones several times a year. They are very colourful but not as nice as foreign stamps to my mind. Perhaps it is just that I see them so much more.

I used to collect stamps many years ago. But now sending letters has become obsolete or say outdated. So we do not get to see new stamps. Collecting stamp is a good hobby and it gives you insight into other countries culture etc. Best of Luck! deepak 1

I used to collect stamps and coins in my school days. I was so passionate for stamps that I even searched stamps in dustbins infront of Government Offices. Over the years, I have lost interest in stamps as I do not get much time for this very topic. But whenver I am free, I open my albums and check all my collections and recall old good childhood days. I have this feeling that in this modern era, kids are more into computers and other games. They are not obsessed to stamps, coins or other relevant hobbies. Trend has been changed. May be I am wrong, but its my observation. Happy Discussions.

I never knew you are a philatelist. I am a serious collector and have been collecting for the past 10 years. I had gone abroad to visit some philatelic shows. What kind of collections you make? Country Collection or thematic collection?

collecting stamps is a good hobby.once i collected some stamps when i still write letters to my friends, but now i give that up,coz i seldom write letters now, email now is much more quicker.and for me,some stamps that are just for collecting are very expensive,i cant afford it. maybe it is also fun if you write to a foreign friend and collect some stamps from his/her country, but i never tried that way.how did you collect your stamps? sorry i forgot which topics i have replied,so maybe i missed some of your good topics.

I don't have this hobby. When I was little, I ever collected beautiful stamps for some time. But later I gave it up. My mom collects stamps, so I gave all of my stamps to her.
