Yeah with my 5-year-old son he's been like that with me too. He tries to push the limits sometimes by being so repetitive in his request/orders from us. He wants to get what he wants always and that sometimes pisses me off. But then I try to be as strong as possible for him if he tries to push his luck at times. At that point he seem to give in and try to change his ways. I do not give in as much as i could if what he wants are just plain and simple out of whims.

Kids can be very tricky, at times. They would pretend that they have not heard a thing if the thing does not suit them! But, if you whisper of something they like, they would immediately respond. They also test your patience. The best is to try to remain on friendly terms with them (not an easy task) then the things are easier to handle.

Kids are very naughty and at the same time they are very clever they are so smart that they try to behave the way infrot of them with who they are afraid and they will be normal in their absence, afterall they are kids and they are very well known to this attitude and the kids of my sister are also of this type but they will be well as time passess.

Often kids will push their limits, and they know what they can and cannot get away with. They usually know when one parent will let them get by with more than the other one. We had this conversation the other day and decided that in general, children are more well behaved for fathers. We determined that the reason for this is probably that the mothers are the ones that they see as nurturers. The mothers are generally the ones who are there to come to their aid when they are hurt and to sooth their pains. The fathers take on the disciplinarian role without taking on a comforting role along with it.
