One day while i was playing some game in my pc, it got turned off all of a sudden. And, when i turn it on, a vertical line appeared on my lcd screen. A few days later again then same thing happened and some more lines appeared. Now it has got a total of nine lines. Some lines are yellow, some are blue and some red. Will that be some software problem or can i make sure that i should replace the lcd screen? Please help me on this..

I think it's a software problem. I also faced such problem with my LCD while playing games. The problem is with the game. In normal monitors also if you play a high graphical game and suddenly gets restarted during the game the graphic is corrupted. I don't think you get problem else wise.

awts, you can try to ask your friend to swap your LCD with him/her. If the same thing happen then the problem is in your computer hardware, in my experience I fixed it by replacing my power supply. But not really the same problem with you, My screen just go dark when i forgot to use it in a minute or two. Then i need to reset my PC. But its ok now.

It is caused by electricity sometimes or overheat. It happened to me once before.
When you don't want to happen this again, or at least prevent it, just make sure your computer is located in a cool environment. Specifically a room with an aircon. If you don't have an aircon, you may use an electric fan to cool the monitor and most importantly, the CPU to prevent overheating.
That's what I did and it worked for me.
