i only eat grass fed/ wild raw venison or bison and at this point in my life i think it is healthy for me.
i certainly agree that eating a cow that has been fed with commercial grains under a hoard of antibiotics is going to be extremly damaging to your health. i bet the studies were done on these kind of poor creatures.

I do eat a little red meat once a week or so, but mostly it's fish, chicken, the odd vegetarian dish, or eggs, with plenty of veggies and potatoes. The body needs a balanced diet, and whilst it doesn't need much of the nutrients that red meat gives, it does need them to survive. Without red meat, it's easy to become anemic. As with all foodstuffs, it's a case of balance and knowing how much of each is good for you. Nowadays, the media and scientists are forever coming up with a new food scare, and if you change your diet according to the latest study all the time, you'd have a very unhealthy diet indeed. It's just a case of commonsense, and being sensible about it.

I limit my intake of redmeat more out of a worry about heart disease than cancer. Although, much of the cattle is fed lots of hormones in order to increase teh size of the cattle quickly. Those hormones are causing lots of illness in humans, including cancer. Too much red meat is also high in fat which leads to heart disease and strokes.

yeah, i ate red meat before but now that i have decided to be a semi-vegetarian and start living healthily, i dont eat red meat anymore. i just eat it in small amounts if ever. :) you see, red meat or any meat for itself is one of the main causes of cancer. you see, when you are eating meat, you get the sickness (if ever there is) of the meat of the animal that you eat, and that sickness is trnasferred to you. some things can trigger it which cause cancer cells to multiply.
