NEWS channels - lets disscuss about them.

I believe that newspapers or news channel's role is to keep people aware about the happenings in the society. But now a days i have been thinking that the channels are moving away from this.They are not run by principles anymore ,they are run by ratings, politics and money. They are confusing people and they have changed their face. What do you think.....are they going in right track or not? Lets disscuss about them who disscuss about all.....

Yes you're right I think they are more concerned with ratings and sponsors. They are into things that will excite people, setting the trends and not inform people of what is happening.

yes they create that excitement in the people and flash the news for some days later whether the issue is resolved or not they drop it....and people who has been tracking it all the while will feel disappointed
