Friends, Aussies have done wonderfully well in the ODI wolrld cup. Next is the 20-20 championship in September in South Africa. I am a great fan of Aussies. I am sure they are going to win this championship also. What do you think?

Hmmm... I'm not so sure.
20-20 is a much newer phenomenon for Aussies. Bit of a slog fest. It's unpredictable.
The Indians might be a bit of a surprise though.
Just as long as those Poms are a failure. That'll make me happy.
One thing more... it might be nice after their miserable time lately for the Pakistanis to win a competition.
Aussie, aussie, aussie, Oi, oi, oi!!!!

Dear, pratikjain, 20/20 is all together a different ball game. Its much different than 50/50 conventional One Internationals. If we go by experience, then there are three teams who play 20/20 regularly in their domestic cricket i.e. Australia, England, South Africa. One of them should win. Australian players like hussey, harway doing well in english county 20/20 championships. English counties were defeated by Pakistani 20/20 champions (faisalabad). South African champion team was also defeated by Pakistan in the International clubs 20/20 tournament in england and later won the cup too. In my humble opinion there are four teams strong contenders for 20/20 International championship. South Africa, Pakistan, Australia and England. I am not sure if India play 20/20 regularly as I have not heard much of them in this form of the game. Since pitches in south africa will be supporting bowlers, then I would bet my money on south africa and australia and to some extent England. But if pitches are batting friendly then I think pakistan will also have a good outright chance. Likes of Shahid Khan Afridi, Imran Nazir, Shoaib Malik, Abdul Razzaq, Muhammad Asif will be handful. Happy Discussions.
