I think it has nothing to do with getting credit or not! Even if you don't tag your discussion and post it it is bound to get posted and you will get your payment due for it!
Idea of tagging a discussion is to help the mylot people in arranging the discussions properly under particular head. It is some thing like, mentioning subject in the letter. According to he subject the letter is filed and file is then stored in proper rack in file holder so that it can be easily tracked in case of its requirement!
Thus a discussion tagged can easily retrieved by just inserting the tagged words in the search Engine to get a particular topic. Thus it is a helpful tool to locate a particular discussion!
The discussions what all we are posting are stored at a place in the form of data base and they need to be arranged according to the topic. Now if tags are added then the discussion with similar tags are stored at a particular place and these can be retrieved easily at the time when they are needed.
Thus tags play important role in a search Engine and i think one must tag the discussion before posting it! I invariably post each and every discussion with appropriate tags!
Thanks for initiating such an interesting topic, I enjoyed answering it! Wish you all the best!

I don't think you get more money for doing that, and I never submit tags; only with my own discussions.

Good Question. I do not know the answer if submitting a tag helps you get credit or money for it, but I really try to submit tags with each discussion just to help out other myloters in their searches for topics on here. I will be watching this post to see what others say about this. Thanks for bringing it up.
