Have you ever had pizza balls? I am making them for dinner this Sunday, but have never had them. I was told that you can take a piece of bread dough, flatten it, add 3 pieces of pepperone and a chunk of mozzerella cheese. Fold it together like a ball making sure it is sealed and fry it. Sounds so good to me~ I have to try it.

I was told to put them in a fry pan that has about 1 inch of hot oil and once one side starts to brown, turn it. Otherwise, put it in a deep fryer and they will turn by themself. I am also going to try to bake them too.

Wow that does sound good! I really do have to try that one day. Doesn't sound great for the waist line though lol. Were they easy to make?

I know. Growing up in an Italian family, we eat lots of things that aren't the best for our figures:) I am trying them this weekend and starting on weight watchers on Monday.

That would be fun to try but I think I will try baking them on a cookie sheet instead. I would think that when you fry them the cheese would leak out of the edges of the bread dough. I guess you could try it either way and see which method works the best. Thanks for the idea!

Good idea baking them. I got the recipe from a little old Italian lady and they fry them in grease, but I think that baking would be much healthier. I think I will try both ways too.

I've never had it, but it sounds pretty interesting... But fried pizza? Don't know if it'll be a little too nasty!?

You just deep fry it until lightly brown. I think it will be like fried dough with cheese and pepperoni.

Oooh those sound delicious! I have never had those, but I think it's a really good idea. You'll have to let us know how those turn out. Lol even though I just ate now I am suddenly hungry for pizza balls!
