Networking type of business: Have you ever been into it?

Lot of people are trying their best to have a business. Something that they can earn. After Ive resigned from my job i was thinking of a business. And someone, a college friend of mine, introduced something for me. Ive met a lot of people and one of his mentor. As Ive attented the seminar and trainings, ive found out that this one is a Networking type of business. Basically i have doubts if it will work for me. I remember, one of my aunt was engaged to this kind of work and i could say that it works for her but the way she spend the money is not wise. Now I was thinking that the product will actually work especially for those person who's really in need of that. I can earn and as well as help other people. But is it worth trying for? I mean, I have this feeling that i will be successful and gonna love the result of all the hardworks. But sometimes i felt like its not easy for me to convince other people... Im confused... can you give me some advice?..^__^
