Does music affect your myLot answers?

Having a whole afternoon free to relax, I thought I'd have a nice little session on myLot. Whilst online, I have listened to a variety of music, starting with the gothic band 'Sisters of Mercy'. Feeling the need to lighten the mood, I turned next to a strange mix of Tina Charles, Tony Christie and T'Pau (I was at the t section of Windows Media Player). Finally, I moved on to the music from 'Twin Peaks'.
I have now gone back over the discussions I had responded to, to get a pat on the back, or critical mauling, and found the dtyles of my responses had varied according to the music. My first answers were very serious and academic, the second were much more light-hearted, chipper and cheerful. The final set had no coherence, and seem like the rantings of a potential serial killer!
Does the soundtrack to your session influence your responses?

I tend to be one of those people who can only concentrate on one thing at a time. So when I listen to music, I have to completely listen to music, and when I'm mylotting, reading or anything else, if there's music playing, my brain blocks it out and it becomes ambient noise. The only exceptions to this rule are that when I'm baking/cooking, I can happily listen to music (but like you, the type of music I'm listening to tends to affect the food I'm making), and when I'm doing the weekly shop, if they play a tune or two I like, I can do a little dance with my trolley (more difficult if it's quite laden already) sing along, and still manage to do the shop without too many extraneous items finding their way into my basket.
But writing is a different thing entirely (I suppose as it uses more of the brain), as is reading, so the short answer is that yes music can have an effect on my style/what I'm doing, except when it's something thinkey.

I have found myself bursting into song in Asda occassionally. Usually old sixyies songs, especially ones I don't know the words to, but don't let that stop me. The Monkeys, Neal Diamond (my Dad used to sing his songs, without knowing the words, so it's hereditary) & the Righteous Brothers are the worst offenders!
If listening to Gothis music, while baking, I bet you'd end up using lots of dark chocolate, whilst Tony Christie would be more cream cake! Twin Peaks would definitely be a chicken biscuit, or some other weird mixture.
All the best, and keep baking, because music is the food of love!

LOL!! I certainly shall :-) - I'll have to try listening to goth music when making a decadently naughty chocolate dessert next time, and see whether the outcome is even more wickedly sumptuous than usual.
