I never realized how great Tide is

When my son was living at home, I always used Tide.If I used anything else he would get a rash. When he left home, it was instinct just to get Tide. But then I noticed some friends were using something less expensive and I decided we could use a cutback ourselves. For awhile, I used a cheaper brand. It seemed to get my clothes clean but then I noticed that my clothes don't smell clean. I went back to Tide, actually with Downey. Didn't say anything to my husband. One day he said, "boy my sweatshirt sure smells good today." I think it's worth it. I can smell the freshness all day long. AWESOME

I like the freshness of Tide. However, there are other brands like Gain and Era that have similar freshness to them. I find Era on sale for half of what Tide is normally priced at. Plus I line dry a good portion of the year so usually mother nature takes away all the perfumes we associate with clean.

I often do the same thing, try a cheaper brand to cut costs. My father uses Tide and I always notice how clean and fresh his HOUSE smells just becuase of the clean laundry sitting around. There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh clean laundry. I have tried the tide with downey and I love it too!

It's so funny to me that your son would get a rash if you used a brand other than Tide, because Tide has always given me a terrible rash!
I have horribly sensitive skin, though. I still use "baby" detergents, which are crazy expensive, but they save me the cost of anti-itch creams!

i don't think this is a particularly famous brand in my country. I personally use Persil, which is supposed to be low suds and thus good for top loading machines like Thomson washing machines.
Perhaps I'll try Tide one day too. My brand of fabric softener is Softlan. It's been popular for years. I guess different countries have different brands that have entrenched themselves. :)

I like Tide too but my daughter is allergic to it. I use arm n hammer since she doesnt break out with it. I use liquid fabric softner since I hang my clothes out to dry and the smell wonderful.
