Which genre of music suits your rainy-day mood?

Everybody/most people love to stay indoors when its raining cats and dogs outside.I believe most of us have our own choice of music genres. And we too like to play different music depending on our mood, right? What do you mostly listen to or want to listen to when the climate outside is wet? I mostly play soft countrys and slow-rock ballads and it doesn't help me to boost my rainy day mood. But sentimentals are a strict no-no for me.Ever lend your ears to some 'jazz' stuffs?I think they are really uplifting.Or do you stick with those heavy metals? Listen whatever you like but please don't mention it here that you'd just wanna lie tucked inside your sheet,b/cos i am already getting giddy.

Jazz for the rainy season is perfect though I always listen to jazz everytime... It always makes me think and relax.

Rainy days that are not being effected by some other mood generally make me want to play acoustic music. Either more acoustic guitar based artists (David Franj, John Mayer) or acoustic versions of some of my other favourite songs.

Rainy days always make me want to listen to classical music because it is so soothing. I love jazz, but the best time for me to listen to it is late at night; I don't think I have ever listened to jazz before the sun went down. Most of the time I listen to rock, but definitely different environments bring out different musical needs. I love to hear hard-blasting rock just before I am ready to go out with friends. Gets me in the mood for a good time.

Mostly music from the 80's like Duran Duran, Spanau Ballet and stuff that I grew up listening to. If it's just a light sprinkle I will still go outside if need be, no way rain is going to keep me housebound.

well since I live in seattle basically anything goes, but I like to listen to jazz, soul, r&b and some types of hiphop when it rains.

I like the blues. Muddy Waters, Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker.. this is what I listen to when I'm in a rainy day mood.. generally. but it varies. I love all kinds of music.
