Are you to nice for your own good?

I don't think you can be "too" nice in a world full of troubles like ours. And yes, I agree, it best to treat others the way you would want to be treated. People have said that to me too, and that they think I will be taken advantage of. Well, all I can say to them is don't mistake kindness of gullibility, because I would know straight away if someone was try to take me for a mug. No, you stay nice, it can't do any harm, in fact it can only do some good!..:-)

Yes, I am also like you but being nice will guarantee you that you will always be treated that same way too. I have always been in the situation that I have always been nice to people and in the end, I always get hurt because I expect them to be nice to me also but they are rude to me. So now, i no longer want to be that nice person always. The more that I am nice, the more that I am hurt...

I was too nice in the way you are describing 5 or 10 years ago. I kept winding up with 'boyfriends' I didn't want and my sister kept telling me I needed to learn how to be mean. As the years have gone by, however, I've learned how to be nice without being a pushover. I know how to set boundaries and enforce them now and I'm much happier. I hope if you are having problems in this area that you can find the same balance.

yes..for sure...I have been a stepping stone many times by my adult sons..and others..

i have always been told the same thing so i guess there has to be a such thing in some sense
