Could America get it wrong this time??

I watch American Idol all the time and i must say this has been the worst one yet. I saw alot of great talent go by the wayside while Sanjaya stayed and this just tops off the whole rotten issue. I dont know what has gotten into America this time but this is nuts i thought for sure she would take it.

Yes, I was very disapointed this time. I also thought for sure she was going to be the winner. Not only was she a great singer but a great performer as well. Anyway, I'm pretty sure she'll have a successful career anyway

i certainly agree that melinda is a brilliant singer but what is new with AI? its the viewers call in the end...Jordin and Blake definitely have more following than melinda considering the age aspect...but who cares Elliot does good even without the idol title who is also a brilliant voice i may say compared to final two in the previous season...performers like them have already been provided with the platform...they may not win the title, but they have already been given the leverage they need for a great singing career ahead...

I was devastated when I heard Melinda was voted off. I just couldn't understand why! All three are good singers, but Melinda has a musical maturity and vocal range that should take her far. Jordin is a talented sparkler, though, and her winsome personality will probably turn in the votes for her to be the AI. Blake surprised me with his Maroon 5 interpretation, but the beat boxing is sometimes inappropriate. Well, we'll see, won't we. Like I said in a previous post, AI is more a popularity contest, less like a talent/singing competition. Simon Cowell was right. :-{

I've been a fan of melinda since the start of the final 12. She is extremely talented. However, if you look at the competition, i think jordin has the total package - talent, looks as well as the X-factor. Jordin is young, talented and so full of life! That smile on camera really reaches out to the audience. I think americans want somebody vibrant and youthful. But i still say, Melinda is the best singer for the IDOL!!

Perhaps, America got it wrong not by not voting for Melinda, but being confident that many are voting for Melinda. Well, this is under the assumption that Melinda being consistent, she'd be in with many voting for her.

I voted for the first time, and all my votes went to Melinda. I'm bummed. I wanted her to win. She has true talent.

I think Melinda has an awesome singin voice, I was completely shocked that she got voted off. I just knew she was going to take LaKisha's votes. Yes once again America has it wrong. I have to admit this season has been the most shocking season of all the past seasons. I was shocked when Sabrina Sloan got votd off she was too an awesome singer, and Sanjaya being on the show for a such a long time he was not that great of an singer. I do not think American Idol is a singing competition anymore. I think main focus is the ratings everyone predicted the final 2 will be Blake and Melinda. Now everyone is curious to see who will take all.

maybe? i was quite shocked, thought melinda would be able to compete in the finals. maybe all the girls were voting for blake or something hehe. but that's ok, it's just the beginning of melinda's career, no? she's already proven that she is a great singer, regardless whether she wins american idol or not ^_^

Yes, I was disappointed that Melinda was eliminated. I was quite sure that she's going to win this competition. Whether America got it right or not very much depends on the age group of the voters. I believe the reason Melinda had to go home was that more younger voters were on the side of Jordin and Blake while the older voters just watched and enjoyed the show....without voting! http://your-true-idol.blogspot.com/
