Why do people care about celebrities so much?

For me, personally I can say that if I am really a fan of that celebrity, then every little information about him will make me happy. I will always follow up on his shows and watch all his movies... Just like before, during meteor garden days, I watch F4 and everything about them. I even listen to their music even if i don't understand it.

This is going to be interesting to follow. I myself have often wondered why people get so caught up in the details of celebrities lives. I don't understand it, particularly of those who are film stars! They may act very well, and be very believable in their roles but it is after all, only a roll, they aren't the person they are portraying. I do agree that media is partly to blame, but certainly they wouldn't go to so much trouble for pictures and interviews of the celbrities unless the public demanded it. It is the public who buys the tickets to the movies, buys the magazines with stories about the celebs, and tunes into the programs on them.

i think the only reason why celebrities are so famous and being talked about every so often is because of the media. it the media's fault why we are all aware of how the celebrity is doing, what breakfast they had, who they are going out with, etc. if the media would just stop their meddling with the celebrities lives then maybe we'd have some peace and quiet related to celebrity gossips!
