reservations for special classes of society -- are they really required

I stringly condemn reservations at top level. If the whole purpose of reservation is to uplift the living of socially low class people,provide them facilities in the intial stages. Give them reservations and aid to get good schooling, where they develop basic and get competenet enough to get themselve place at top most institutions in the country. Directly providing reservations for entry into these institutions will reduce their standards,which coaching institution are already doing
