X-men movie spinoff to feature magneto

ifitsmovies.com has reported that in the first spin off from the X-men movie franchise will feature the anti-hero Magneto. No other details has emerged other than David Goyer, the write for Batman begins will be in the director's seat. I think that's fantastic news.
Who's your fav. x-men character? Mine is Gambit but he's still not featured yet.

The comics did have a spin off series that concentrated on Magneto and the fans love it!
I wouldn't mind a story like that. Who is going to play the role of magneto? Is the Ian Mckeller going to reprise the role?
