How much does an Investment Banker earns?

I am very curious about what are those bankers do on their work and how much they earn. I want to be one of them also. I am thinking of taking up CFA, is that a good start? any advise?

HI i am also v interested. In singapore, i heard starting pay is S$5000 .
Not sure whether it's true or not.

Oh really? Wow sounds fastastic. I am working towards that direction. But before that I will ask around for opinions, how is the pay and work like, etc etc. well hope everything turns out smoothly. Thanks for the response, 5k sounds cool!
