Gilmore Girls movie?

I've been thinking since the finale- wouldn't it be great if they would do a movie? I know that the series finale tied up a lot of things, but I'd love to see a sort of short version of season 8 as a movie. It could focus on the time period when Rory comes back from working on the campaign, and maybe we'd finally get the L/L wedding!

I read an interview that Lauren Graham gave to a mag. or tv guide and she said that they were going to do a movie but i don't know if she was joikng or not. I am watching the series finale right now

i think it would be a great idea and i'd love to see it but it won't happen. these things never really happen. everyone wants to see a movie of every cancelled show and it rarely comes true. plus the show was cancelled cause some people didn't want to renew their contracts. they wanted to move on. so they won't come back to do a movie of it. that wouldn't really be moving on.

I think that would be a great idea, but since it's rumored that the reason they ended the show is because Alexis Bleidel (who played Rory) was the only one who didn't sign a new contract. So knowing she didn't want to do Gilmore Girls again, I doubt she would want to do a movie.
