I've never fully understood the point of going for a walk outside for leisure. I don't see the big attraction. Whenever I leave my home it's simply in order to get to another structure or to meet someone. Tell me, dA, what is so great about going outside for a walk? I am the only one who seems to be missing something?

Its a great way to relax as well as great exercise as its been mentioned....Its a shame tht you dont see the point to just "being" really (not to be rude by any means)...Sometimes we need to just slow down and enjoy living and even other times we need to flat out stop and just breathe ya know.....Going for casual walks like tht is a great way to do it...

Going for a walk is great exercise. You also can walk around the block or down the road and meet your neighbors. See how your neighbors keep their yard....just check out the scenery and get fresh air. I wish i still could walk around the block. I would do it in a second...Plus when i use to take walks with my kids. It helps settle them down for the night and I can think. Walking was always a good way for me to think. Espically when I was mad or upset. i would go for a walk til I was calmed down.

I do find it wonderful, it is very different from going to the fitness club if you want to do some exercise, the air, the view, the whole dynamics of things. I like very much going outside for leisure also, it calms me down, i can see the beautiful landscape, all of the animals, smell the fresh air. I can say that i do that at least once every day, and it helps me being calm and happy.
