GAIN is the follow-on formula of Similac. It is the milk formula my sister-in-law uses for her baby. I personally use NAN-HA because my son has milk proteins allergy and my family has a history of asthma.
My sister-in-law said that GAIN (for six months to 1 year) is one of the best when it comes to nutrition. You have many choices, so just go ahead and check what is best for your baby or consult your pediatrician for more reliable info.

why do you need to change her formula? My kids always stayed on the same formula until 12 months old when they switched to milk.

Yeah, my son's still on Enfamil LIPIL with Iron, but he mainly eats table food and baby food now. Milk doesn't sit too well with anyone in my family though.

My daughter used Enfamil Lipil with Iron. They have a formula for 6-12 month olds. Also, they have a variety of different types of formulas is you baby has problems like allergies, constipation, gas, etc. You can visit their website to see all of the products.
