What Do You Prefer - A Free "Blog" Or A Free "Website" / "Subdomain"

I prefer a Free Website or a free sub-domain where I can set up a free website suing those in-house "HTML Editors" that those sites offer like the freewebs.com
I dont know why, but, I do not use "Blogs"....... though I tried using free blogs...... but, everytime I tried, I could not find a way out....... I think Blogs are too cramped up when it comes to posting. And, they have those fixed frames where you need to post your articles....... or text.
If you know some basic HTML, you can easily create a free website using a free subdomain provider...... its simple. I did not know HTML, I just went into some existing websites and looked for the source code and learned myself and created my free websites within 5 minutes.
Do you prefer those free websites or Blogs ?

I would go with a free website too, you can get more out of a website. :)

I presently have a blog of my own but am having difficulty getting through to it. I'm using the one provided by blogger. I am contemplating looking for another free site that are convenient to use. I will try to check freewebs.com as well. Hope this will work well for me. Thanks for sharing.

I use both. I've got a website on freewebs.com and I've got a blog on blogger.com. I do have to say that my blogger looks a little more oraganized. But my freewebs website has more information I just need to edit it so it looks nicer and I have a few more things I want to add to it. http://www.freewebs.com/cynddvs and http://cyndi-shop4zero.blogspot.com/

I have my own domain on which I host my own blog, since I set it up for blogging it would be like reinventing the wheel to make my own blogging software so I simply used a free blogging software, namely wordpress.

Blogs are very easy. Anybody can start a blog in few minutes. But web sites are difficult to start. We have to spend more time in designing etc.
In blogs there are limitations for modification. But you can do anything with your own web site.
I will prefer a blend of own site and some blog program on it.
