get myLotters are avid internet users. how long do you estimate you can 'last' without the internet? i suppose 'survive' can be defined as 'feeling comfortable'. for instance, after 2 days of not having internet access i feel a little bit of withdrawal symptoms. like i would really like to check my email. partly cos my friends communicate with me quite a lot over email. so kinda feel disconnected. but after 3-4 days, for eg. if I'm travelling, then it's ok. cos kinda forget about it. esp if the place I'm visiting is very nice.

I think I have the same symptoms as you do. Withdrawal is quite mild and if away from nearest online access, it just slips from the mind.

I guess if the circumstances don't allow you to have internet, then you will just have to make do. The longest I was without Internet was about one month. It was withdrawal almost all the way. That was the period where I had no internet access in my project at work due to the work location. Then there is the never ending shopping after work to search for bridal studios and furniture for the home that leaves one exhausted at the end of the day, too tired to surf when you get home.

Me I think one day is really very long already. I'm really getting used to always having the internet in my daily routine so like you, I will also feel disconnected but I must get used to it if I want to strive harder in school this opening of classes.

I can handle it if the internet is out for 30 minutes... after that I start to get antsy. I have realized I become so reliant on the internet for information its ridiculous. Even when it comes to phone numbers, I haven't used a phone book in years, I usually just use the 411 directory in the net.
