I got my wife a GPS navigation system for her car at xmas and it has somehow found it's way into my vehicle....it's no surprise really as my scouting skills are so bad I'd have been the first one eaten in the Donner party. It really is an incredible little piece of equipment...tells me where all the restaurants are(something the Donner party could have used quite honestly), as well as ATM's.....plus the girl who talks on the system sounds really hot....I may never use Mapquest or stop at a seedy gas station to ask for directions ever again.

Ah, yes, the GPS, every man's dream.
Now, you don't have to ask directions ever again, and your wife wouldn't nag you about you being too macho and not being able to ask for directions.
I've always wanted to buy a gps but I don't think there's one in my country right now. Besides, I think it's my boyfriend who needs it most because he's just too stubborn and won't ask anybody for directions.

Yes,I am buying a tom-tom soon for our van. Both my husband and me have a terrible sense of direction. We can get lost everywhere! I want the talking kind too. I like that they show ATM'S! I didnt know that. Sounds like your wife needs a replacement christmas present! ;)

I'm sure she'll nab it back ASAP and I'll end up broken down in some back country road completely lost

Hmmm, sounds like just the thing for my daughter, who can get lost between the front door and the mailbox. (she is said to be just like her mother *hides head in shame*) My daughter leaves for college this fall, and despite the fact that we have gone to the college on 3 occassions, two of which we had my daughter to drive, she will likely get lost at least once.

Once I get back into the world of work and can afford it I want to get a good satnav system - I like the idea of it directing you to a restaurant, I think that will be handy on those motorway journeys where you really don't want to stop at the services for food.
As long as it doesn't try sending me the wrong way up a one-way street I'll be happy!

My husbands boss just bought one and that's all he ever talks about these days. I had to laugh when you said the girl on the system sounds hot,he said the same thing. Now he seems to be addicted to using the GPS system, it makes me wonder if the chic's voice has something to do with it.lol

I wish that I had a GPS for my car. Since we've just moved, there are a lot of times when I say to myself "I know how I got here, now how do I get home?" I think I'll put it on my Christmas list this year, since my birthday has already come and gone.
