I have knowledge in troubleshooting nokia handsets only. System Software, Hangup, Reboot, Formatting Internal and Externa memory, Memory card corrupted...and more.Just post me a message and I will anser all your problems. For some reason that i may not be able to elp you with hardware problems of your cellphone pls see a cellphone technician or see your provider. Software only. I'll be waiting for your posts. TC! =)

I am using Nokia 6610i. It has got an infrared port. But my PC has not infrared reciever.
So for transfering some files to / from mobile, i used nokia data cable. I installed latest version of PC Suite also. But PC Suite can't detect the cable/ mobile.
Can you explain why?

Maybe it's best if you replace the data cable maybe some pin that connects to your handset maybe jammed or twisted. If your handset has a memory card you cud buy a card reader, which you can use for many reasons. Also see that you installed your PC Suite properly and followed that instructions. If your problem is the handset. You cud restore your factory settings by pressing *#7370# or *#7780#. If you cant reset it find it in settings and look for restore factory settings then type your security code. But for me I prefer the card reader because that is what i use to upload applications to my fone. I am currently using nokia 6630.
