how to deal with introvert persons???

i was having a difficulty with my ex-boyfriends' attitude.. he is such an introvert.. if there are problems that come in his life he just pretend as if everything's ok.. and will not even try to face his problem.. i tried so hard to bring out his feelings but then he always deny and tell me that it's really none of my business... and he usually gives me a cover up reason to the real reason of some issue.. and he always let me think of the real reason... we were together for 1 yr and 6 mos and I got really push to the edge of my patience.. i finally broke up with him also because he already gave me a reason to break up... hurting thing is, he totally denied his feelings to me.. and as always, gave me cover up reason to break up with him and hid his real reason... I know he was lying, because he never looked straight in my eyes and he cried so hard when i walked out of his car... what can you say about this???
