I downloaded the video and had a good time watching it!
It is interesting, cos this way of positive thinking has been thought of by the chinese a long time ago.
There is a few chinese phases that loosely translate to:
"xin xiang shi chen" -- "When the heart thinks, the issue will be resolved/fulfilled"
"you zhi zhe, shi jing chen" -- "the determined will get thing done"
I do believe so. Sitting back and thinking about it, I was down and out for a long time after I lost my job a while back. Then I made a decision to start a family with my then girlfriend. Our first commitment is to get a house. Gutsy move, I must admit... but I believe that I will get a steady job to fund the house.
Once the house was confirmed, shortly after, I landed my current job which is providing me with lots of good opportunities to learn and grow. And the pay is reasonable enough for me to fulfill my dreams.
Reminds me of the song from the animated movie "Prince of Egypt" where mariah carey and whitney houston sings...
"There will be miracles, when you believe..."

Everyone can think that way.
All it takes is a little effort... especially in the beginning.
Just try like I do... when you wake up in the morning, think about one thing that you can be thankful for before you brush your teeth and go about your morning business.
It could be anything... for me, I am thankful for being able to marry my wife. She is one capable woman who has made me a better man!
Then at the end of the day, as you lie on the bed, before going to sleep, think of one thing you can be thankful for that happened to you during the day.
Usually, I will be thankful for being able to go thru the day without much trouble. If some problems were to occur at work, I would be thankful for those people who help in getting the problem resolved.
It takes some conscious efforts in the beginning. Slowly, it will just come naturally. Then you try to do the same everytime something good happens to you.
Take for example, this morning, the bus that takes me to work came slightly earlier than usual, and the driver took the effort to wait for me and my wife before driving off.
We were so thankful for that.
If he had not done that, we would have to take a feeder service to link up to the main train service, change train in town and then move on to another internal shuttle where we work to get to the office.
Try it... it is not difficult.

once you make that first step, you will realize that is it not that difficult to make that first step, you will tend to take a second... and a third... and another step... and another
you know what I mean... try it.

I believe it has a powerful message. If you find it stimulating, continue to explore the possibilites. Keep in mind the things you want and take some action toward realizing them. The key is to take a positive action toward your goals, which is not that well stated in The Secret. The book and CD are only primers. I firmly believe that our thoughts, good or not so good, come to life eventually. You get exactly what you think about, in one way or another. I hear there is going to be another part to The Secret which will expand on it much deeper.

Yes I am; I got the book and hope to get the dvd on it soon. I believe that the message is true and that you can have what you want in this life if you put your mind to it. I believe in that wholeheartedly.

I've never read it..but did look through a copy at the book store..more positive thinking then anything really....is what I gather..I do believe you should think positive to really get positive..don't know much about the "Magick" sense of it though!
