Will you take a day off from work in your birthday?

In the past birthday was an important day for me. I would take a day off, as I didn't want my work would ever bother me in my special moment.
Today I am married and have my little son. My birthday is less important for me. I pay more attention to my family rather than myself. I don't take a day off in this day, as I prefer to leave it for my family. Such as I can use this one day to take my son to the park in the Children's Park. Isn't it much more meaningful?
By the way, my birthday will arrive soon, just on this weekend:)

Hi..You're absolutely correct. As we go old, we suddenly change our priorities in life. Thats life! And your doing it correctly. We just have to consider sometimes our self so that we could still enjoy it. Aside from doing our responsibilities as a parent. Anyways, Happy Birthday!:-)

I am a stay at home mom so there is no such thing as a day off. To me my birthday is just another day. Sad but true.

Birthday is an important day for everyone but I can not take a day off from office eventhough Im single and young. Sometimes we can not do what we want. If I could take a day off on my birthday, I'd spend it with my family. It's more than fun.
Happy birthday to you. If I could have your mail ID, I'd have send you a special birthday card.

Nope, i didnt see the point as my partner was at work anyway and we'd organised a meal with the family after work. However, i was miffed that not one of my colleagues wished me a happy birthday at work on my birthday! Oh well, my job there is ending soon, i doubt i will miss any one much.

When I was younger I would take the day off if I could afford to. Now I hate to even recognize my birthday. I hope that it just goes by with no recognition at all. My birthday is next week and I am hoping that no one remembers. Most of the people I work with take the day off. I think that birthdays are much more important to kids then us adults.

No, usual i go to work and to school too, because i can't invite all collegs to my house, to celebrate, but i am happy when my work collegs and my school collegs remember my birthday..is so nice to see that peoples think that you are a important person. Of course that i will go home earlyer, to be with my family and with my close friends

Well, then, first of all, happy birthday in advance!
You know, I've never really made a point to take the day off for my birthday. Last year, I actually started a new job the day after my birthday. Two years ago, worked straight through my birthday, a full eight hour shift. Three years ago, I worked during the day and went out at night... I like the idea of working during the day, keeping busy, and then celebrating afterwards.

ever since i started working, i have been taking leave on my birthday! i wouldn't want to be bothered with work issues and don't wanna get up early on my birthday just to go to work haha! i'd like to be able to do my own things and celebrate it with my loved ones :D

Congratulations on your soon-to-be-birthday!
Myself I don't tend to take a day off on my birthday whatever I'm doing, since there's not really any point in it. You end up celebrating it in the weekends anyways since then not only you but also your friends can take the day off.
