I was shocked when Melinda was voted off last night! I thought she was going to win for sure! I am a Blake fan because he is diffeent but as far as actual singing ability, I think Jordin is the better of the two. This cycle has proven to be more of a popularity contest than a singing contest.
I really don't think it's right that people are able to call in and vote as many times as they want. If they had implemented a rule that a person could only vote once, I'm certain the results would have been different.

I completely agree with you. When the Idols first went to Hollywood this year I perdicted the final 2 would be Melinda Doolittle and Sabrina Sloan. Boy was I wrong they were the best singers this season. Sabrina's singing voice was beautiful and she was voted off the 2nd week in Hollywood (after Randy told her she had what it takes to win), and Sanjaya I predicted that he would gone 2nd or 3rd week in Hollywood but wow he was in like 7 or 8th place. I think people should have to pay a small fee to vote so it will be fair people are not going to pay money for someone they really dont want to win nor will they call 50 times if they had to pay a fee. There is a website started by last years idol reject Brenna Gethers votefortheworst.com that was premoting Sanjaya.

I guess the votes supposedly meant for Melinda would go to Jordin. These will likely be sympathy votes where going with Jordin is better than choosing over Blake.

After Lakisha went home, I am rooting for Jordin to win American Idol.

I dont know.....I liked Malinda more but......personally I think Blake should have been eliminated.

i thought melinda was goin to win coz she was the only one with a great voice...american idol is suppose to be a contest about singing right?..melida should have won..no doubt..
but between balke and jordin..i pick blake..even if jordin has the voice..blake has the whole package...he has the talent, the personality and etc...
so do vote for blake....

I don't think so. People who voted for Melinda will mostly empathize with Jordin and give her the votes.

I think that it will be Jordin. I think the top 4 will have a great career and we will hear form them all with recording contracts, guest appearences etc. They all have great talent but I think that Jordin has more of the complete package that defines the word Idol.

I believe that Blake could be the next American Idol. He is very modern and I think a lot of the younger crowd likes it. I love the way he puts his own spin on the songs. Yes sometimes it can be annoying but it modernizes a lot of the older songs. I think Melinda being voted off was good even though she was a good singer. She has been a back up singer for a while so, in my opinion, she was already "professionalized." Everyone I know will be voting for Jordin.. but I will be voting for Blake.
