Hey kruti. The 100 Mbps is the maximum the cable can carry not what service provider offers. If he offers such speed to everyone he will go bankrupt. The best download speed at reasonable rates is offered by BSNL. Its speed is 2Mbps download\256kbps upload.

Of course 100Mbps doesn't come cheap in singapore.. here it cost about USD80 per month for service and the modem costs USD340. The only modem brand available is motorola. I'm using the service right now but web browsing is not much faster, only streaming and downloading from multiple sources is fast.

In my country (India) best speed a middle class person can afford is BSNL. Though their service is bad and link goes down many times, It is the download speed that is awsome which any other private operator will not give. 2Mbps Download/256Kbps upload.

In our country the fastest isp is from the government owned isp namely BSNL, they are supposedly offering 2 mbps but i\do not realize that they are offering up to 2 mbps but they are relatively faster when compared to ther private players. But the service of the governemtn owneed broadband is very poor.
