Do you have somebody to bring food to you whilst you are doing this?

Sometimes I find a book that is so good I do not want to put it down but children and chores always come along. Mind you, I also feel that if a book is that good I don't actually want to get to the end. I want to savour every moment and make it last a bit longer. So, I take my time and think about the characters like they are carrying on whilst I am not there with them.

I've done this many times actaully. Once I pick up a book and start reading it I want to finish it all at one time. I usually read one in a day if not a matter of hours. It's just the way I am. I've been known to stay up all night to read one if need be.

Yes I've done this many times - mainly when I was a child/teenager, and didn't have much to do. I once read "The Hobbit" by Tolkein in one day. Unlike your first respondant, I didn't manage "Lord of the Rings" in one sitting, but I did finish it within a few days!!
