My cat just showed up at the back door carrying a chipmunk! Usually when this happens, the animal is still alive, and I can get her to drop it, and it gets to run off. Sadly, it was too late for this one! She seemed so proud of it, though. Sorry, Mr. Chipmunk!
Do your cats ever bring you "presents?" What do you do about it?

I used to have a cat who did this. Your right they do seem so darn proud too. We are going to get a kitten in a few weeks, but she is going to be an inside only cat. Hopefully she wont find any furry friends inside, but if she does I'll be thanking her and giving her treats.

my cat ever do this and she seems like to do this always. when she catch a mouse, she like to get it to me and show it to me and then stare at me .
she seems so pround of this and she seems to tell me, see it , I catch a mouse .
but so bad luck , it is always a mouse already die and my cat might already eat some part of the mouse, so terrible things for me to look this mouse.
I tell my cat don't show me the mouse, but she don't know my meanings and still show to me.
so I meet the same problem with you.

My cat once bought in a mouse that was still alive and running around but I couldn't catch it and it disappeared. I found it months later in my electricity meter cupboard decaying, it was horrible. Now they have collars with bells so it's harder for them to sneak up on things and kill them.
