Hey SQ,
I think women began to get tat's there when low rise jeans came into fashion so it would be easy to show them off. I say what's the point in getting a tat if you ain't gonna show anyone???? I wanna get one on my hip on the backside but not right above my coin slot LOL

it seems to be a cliche these days, just like guys getting a cross on their shoulder, or words written in cursive on their neck. I would never do because in about ten years people are going to realize you didn't have any originality when you were young!

Depending on the tatoo, I am sure that one on the shoulder or neck sends a totally different message.

Actualy, the mindless leading the mindless. But, hasn't that always been the way. I can't imagine someone convincing me to take a needle and stick it in my eyebrow. When I look at people with these piercings all over their bodies, I simply think weaked minded idoit. Sorry,if I offend.

It seems to be the "fashion". I however don't see the appeal. My first guess is that is attracts attention to an area of the anatomy they want noticed.
I think this comes back to a girls desire to get hooked up with as many options as possible so they can pick and choose favorites.

That's why they call the tattoos Tramp Stamps. They think its sexy and yje men find it intriguing when the back of their pants play peek a boo wishing they could see the other half of that tattoo..
