How do you balance your love ones (boyfriend/girlfriend, wife/husband) & God?

i am not a religious person but i have understand the fact that there is God, its hard for me to analyze the feelings of myself between God & my girlfriend, could you gave me some nuggets of wisdom about this matter, i know most of you here in myLot experience trouble about this kind of matter.. hope to hear from you guyzz... :)
