Every minute of yours is precious so is every Donation. Your generosity can be a ray of hope for someone..
Number of destitute children in India : 44 million
Number of Orphans in India : 12.44 million
Number of official adoptions in India : 5000
111 million child labourers in India work in hazardous or exploitative conditions
They work for 12 - 15 hours a day and earn less than Rs.3 per day
They work with explosives, metals, and poisonous gases from the age of 3 - 4 years
15 million of these children are bonded labourers
Statistics as per an ngo site in a country like India is really shocking. Donation for such a cause can be great help to these deprived children, if it reaches to them safely. What do you say, if each one of us makes a littele effort can we not change the picture....is donation the right way?

Donation is important, but i myself prefer the private approach to the abandon children. Children are actually like a plain paper - so they need love, caring, attention to keep them grow up in an appropriate way. We don't want one of that abandon children become the criminal whom covered in their stregth... so,.. what they need most are our attention, our love, our carings and our understanding to educate them to be a better man....

As the population is getting increase and the gap between more poor an rich people in incresing all the more chances that mor e and more children will be on the streets of india .and people will exploit there state in all ways metally ,physically and sexualy.Donation is needed .lot of people spend their money towards temples and churches for doantion and it would be better if such kind of people turn their attention,in this area one notable thing in this discussion one post not only we need money i think our presence is also important.if the children realise people are loving them chances that they turn to criminals can be avoided.I think our celebreties has lot to do.i am not saying they are not doing.

A single rupee by every person can amout to some billions , but will that billions 10% will reach the correct place ?
I dont think so , for that reason i dont belive in helping others through others "if you have to do something correctly , do it yourself ," my father used to tell me.So i go for a direct approach. If i see a needy i dont simply give him /her some money , rather i take him to a restaurant and help him with some food , and if i am at home then he gets some additional benifits like some old clothes, shoes and etc..

Hi Deepti, thats been a real tough job i think for u to make all this statistics. Well done there. However i think we must try to understand that the term donation does not only mean money or clothes, food or gifts, but also the time, love, affection, support you provide to the people in distress. I am also a part of an NGO and work for the orphanage section. I dont spend even a single rupee there but i spend 3 hrs every sunday to bring atleast 3 hours of smile happiness and love in 168hrs of the week. I know its too small a time, but if we all give some time to them then atleast 160 hrs could be happyness time for these little kids.
