For laptop or Notebook,Intel CPU is your best choose and it's powerful,but if you use desktop,an AMD CPU is enough.I use AMD CPU at home and use Intel CPU at my office,it's an dual core CPU,both of them is good.

Intel core 2 duo is the better one right now when compared with the amd x2 processors. They have better performance and use less power and thus generate less heat than the x2s. Since it has more performance naturally designers would go for it. The best one right now is the t6500 i think. got lots of cache .

I have been a huge fan of AMD for a very long time and think they make incredible processors, especially when you look at their price compared to Intel. That being said, even though you will pay a bit more, the Intel Core 2 Duos are amazing. I, personally, hope that AMD will kick it up a notch to get out something better that the Core 2 Duos, but right now they just aren't there.
