I have heard that US leadership is trying to create new military regulations requiring all blogs and emails written by soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan to be approved by a superior officer. They don’t want the truth on Iraq & Afghanistan be known to the world! What’s all this?

I think that it's right that any blog, email or diary showing military activities should be checked and, if necessary, censored by commanding officers.
When you're talking about matters of war, can you imagine what type of hackers are involved with military espionage? Even some soldiers online journal could contain details of where their unit is operating and what they're doing. If the other side got hold of enough of these documents, they could easilt build up quite a comprehensive picture of military activities in progress.
Please don't be offended, but I think it's very naive to think that an army in a war situation could be so ambivolent with sensetive information!
