HI, Ihave both^^ to house usa the desktop and in trip use the laptop.

For raw processing power - desktop PC... For portability - tablet PC... To be completely silly - trying to do anything productive on the PocketPC...

I prefer a laptop, you can simply do everything with it you can also with a desktop but along with that you have the option to move it around as well.
