I have come to stay withmy family for some days but have not changed my number..its the same number i had earlier..the roaming charges are just hurting my pocket..I dont understand why the mobile service providers demand too much for changing areas?does the service needs so much extra to change areas only? What do you think?

I don't know if there is a roaming charges anymore... Well, but then I know that Sprint will charge you roaming charge if most of your calls are on a roam... If majority of your calls are made in their network, they'll waive roaming... I guess companies need to make money too I guess, they are in the business to make money, after all... But at the same time, they do tend to go over board with extra charges...

I really don't know if they need more money or not. I hate roaming charges as well. So I tend to buy a calling card when I am out of my area. That way I can call who I want and not be overly charged. When I go back home and have extra mintues on the card. I give them to my mother who doesn't have long distance.
