How Did the Tractor Get to the Island?

Explain how the tractor got there? You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island. ************************************************** I will check back once a day but will not post Best Response to the first one who gets it right until I either have sufficient answers to merit it or at least a week has gone by so as to give those who like riddles a chance to see it and enter their answer.

Here's one possibility, my lady. That island wasn't an island originally. Someone just drove it over when it was still connected by land. But subsequently, the low lying area around the current island got submerged so the island materialized and the tractor is left stranded. What a poor tractor lol. :P

I was on "sabbatical" contemplating my navel. I have been under the impression that many (with the exception of you and other dear friends) have blackballed my postings because of my idiotic misuse of the word "boycott" in one of my postings. But I am back, at least for a while to see if things change. I also found that the quality of the postings for debate has deteriorated in number. However, I do try to remain loyal to members of my friends list and answer as many as I think I have something to add to. Always nice to see you Your Grace.....you always seem to have a happy input to my postings and help make any of my days.

Was the tractor driven there when the tide went out? You know how much I love your riddles. They drive me crazy!

Nothing was mentioned about a tide so I assume that the tractor was in the middle of a lake. Bood thinking though. Always nice to see you EB.

Gee gifana this is a hard one and I"m not completely awake. I am baffled...not by air or boat and not built in the island... I don't suppose there's a tunnel to the island? Or that it is a toy ...how heavy is a tractor anyways? could it go over ice during the winter? Probably not, those things are heavy. But I can't find any other options...it's not one of those hybrid things that can go in the water ? I suppose lordwizard can be right, maybe it did go before the island was an island land is the only thing that is missing there since we already know it was not by boat or air. Will you give us the answer later on? I'm curious now LOL

Well, since there are now three of you I will have to give the best response to the one who got it right....which is you arkaf although you don't know it. Yes, the water froze in the winter and the tractor was driven across the ice. So now you can stop being baffled and get a good night's sleep. Thanks for staying in there.
