Boracay in Aklan province in the Philippines to me ranks the best beach in the world. Of course, many will disagree with me and accuse of me of bias but the beach is just simply awesome: clean, perfect white sands, nice location and generally peaceful.
Can anyone suggest of a better one?

I have been to a few beaches. Like Waikki in Hawaii and the beach at Cancun,Mexico.I have been to Daytona Beach in Florida. But I think the most beautiful beaches are in Michigan on the Great Lakes. THe sand is white sugar sand.they are kept very clean. They are fresh water lakes so you are not covered in salt when you get out of the water. The sunsets are spectacular. I love the beaches on Lake Michigan and Lake Superior the most.

Hmmm. Seems like you haven't really got out of your comfort zone, the USA. Friend, next time you want to hit the beach, I recommend that you consider Boracay in the Philippines. Ignore the travel advisory from your government. The Philippines is as safe as any country in the world. and you won't regret ever your decision to come.

I think it would have to be Diani Beach in Kenya. We went for a holiday there many years ago and the beach is terrific. A long stretch of sand and clean too. There were vendors along the edge near the hotels who sold beautiful things carved out of wood. Farther afield away from the hotels you'd find it a bit more peaceful. There were acrobats practising their tumbling skills when we were there so we got a free show! It was an awesome place.
