My new job is going really well and I have finally been paid for the last two weeks work. It has been a long time since I received a full paycheck and there are a thousand was to spend this money but it won't stretch that far I'm afraid. How do you spend that little bit extra money you have? Do you spend it on yourself or your children or save it up?

Congrats. How is the new job going? Good I hope. Right now any extra we have is going towards our July trip. If not for that, we would be saving for our house. It seems we are always saving for something. I hardly ever buy myself anything and when I do out of necessity, I feel guilty. Go figure..lol.

thanks for asking misheleen. It is going really well now that I am in the swing of long hours and it is so nice to finally get a paycheck that doesn't all go in bills straight away. I must admit I did spoil myself a bit and bought some new makeup and a couple of shirts. I feeel guilty as soon as I do it though. Must be a mother thing!

Any extra money coming into this household goes straight off the credit cards. At least that way, I can re use the credit card if need too. Maybe not the best way to budget, but when I have a zero balance on the credit cards will place any extra income into our savings account.

Money is always never enough for most people. Mostly it is the way we spend. My advice is pay for your needs and not your wants. It is good to receive money for work that we do. I like being online and able to earn some money. Although I have not earned much yet online, it is still fun to make about USD30 to USD50 a month to pay for some essential products online.

Hello,4missy,a thousand is a big money to me:P,if i get a thousand in the first month,i think i will save it first and then when i get the second payment,i will decide what do i need to buy at home or have some upgrades on some daily needs.
If you have children, you can save it for them for their study later on.
good luck
