WHITE LIES... good or not??

i'm sure you guys heard of white lies??? for u, is it excusable or not??? cause if you will ask me.. i would rather get hurt by the truth than believe on a lie... cause in our philosophy, i learned that once you made a sin it is still considered as evil even by reason, situation or circumstance... meaning white lies are still wrong and as long as it is a LIE, it can never be considered as right.... so what do you think???

White lies could be wrong morally because it's considered a sin but what really is it? White lies simply means you don't like to hurt somebody. Sometimes you have to white lie because you know that it would be best to do so. If for example someone you love had passed away and you can't tell your grandma. She had already a minor heart attacked and telling the truth would caused her her life. What are you going to do? Sometimes we have to lie to save something. Hey, if you believe you're not doing anything wrong with lies, then it's white lies but if not then it's really a lie and it's a sin.

A lie is a lie no matter what the color. You may lie because you don't want to hurt somebody but in reality your lie is an offense against God. He forbids it in the 9th commandment.
I realize it's hard with the example you gave but you shouldn't lie and sin against the God who gave you your very life.

But doesn't God also teach self-sacrifice? In the same example, isn't the person lying run the risk of committing an offense against god, and she took such risk in order to save her grandma's life? Isn't that in consonance with God's teaching of self-sacrifice? She would rather suffer the ire of God by white lying than tell the fatal truth and let her grandma die.

Yes, I do tell white lies.
I guess it's because I always feel guilty about flat out lying and I know the truth would actually hurt them.
Yeah, I guess this is wrong, but I can't help it. I mean, I really don't want to hurt a person.

If you dont want to hurt people, better not to say anything. For sure it's better than to tell lies and it does not matter what name you give them, white or any other color (and yes i know what white lie is).
Stay honest. Make it rule number one for you. It will pay you in your life.

In fact, I think most of the white lies of goodwill, it is the starting point for people to be hurt, for instance, your friend today's mix of clothes does not look good, you can't direct:You wear the clothes really ugly, I think even friends,you said that she will intolerable.In some things, people still have to white lies,white lies sometimes is a demeanor.

White, green or what ever you will call it - Lies are bed. No matter if you lie to yourself or to others. It's not good. Lies, even white lies wont do any good. on the contrary, they will get you into troubles. Stay honest to yourself and of course to others and life will smile to you.

yes I've heard it too and it's used a lot in my culture.I think it's excusable if you use it for the right reasons.
