South African Governments AIDS Policy

Did you know that the Government of South Africa does not accept the HIV causes AIDS. The Minister of Health is telling citizines that they must eat beatroot if they are HIV+ and not take ARV's.

I know that there are areas of the world where governments fail to recognize that HIV causes AIDS, but I did not know that South Africa was one of them. I know that many parts of Africa and India are living in ignorance about this. Do you have any links to information about the South African government discouraging people from taking ARV's???
