Do you ever sit down and think about what you pay on taxes these days.
it really pissed me off having to pay tax,
I mean you buy a television right which you have to pay tax on then you have to pay to watch it in your own home, the home you pay rent for and normal house hold bills, dont u think its bad i could go on and on but i wont lol.
can you tell me what you think about this subject does it piss you off too?

I was looking at my grocery bill the other bill and actually pleasantly surprised that some of the things I thought were probably not 'essential for life' had not been taxed. I wish we had more say on where our taxes went rather than just one vote every 5 years which does not even count with the first past the post system. I think that people who abuse their bodies with drink and smoking should not take up places in our National Health Service - then I remember that they have been taxed so much extra in purchasing these things over the years that they have probably paid for their treatment anyway.
I don't mind if the taxes are used to help those less fortunate but object with those that abuse the rules and steal my money.

Hello, yamahagirl,I think the tax system is very similar with your country. The tax rate is very high in australia, everything is taxable,we also have to pay goods and service tax, that mean we are paying tax on everything,no matter buying movies tickets, bus tickets.
We earn more and pay tax,i do not feel any problems with it,but the goods and service tax have made our life so hard, everything have been so expensive after the introduction of GST ten years ago.
