why ford deleted excursion line production?!!!

hi all;ford excursion is a cool suv come in full xl size
that car was great one and I was going to buy one[I was save money for it]
then ford delete excursion production
so I'll not buy it what a sad thing realy
who was like me please post here

According to Ford, environmental pressures (nee, the environmental lobbyists) forced them to discontinue the Excursion. Sales were great here in southern California. It was hard to find one because the sold so quickly. And there are tons of them still around, not for sale. Great SUV's. Yes, they have extended the wheelbase on the Expedition, but there currently no plans for a diesel engine option last I read.

Because, Ford did put a good engine in it but they put there rinky dink fuel pump on it, the excursion has a bad rep for fuel pumps. Trust me I know my neighbor has one. Ford is basicly remaking the excursion there are taking the EXPEDITIon and making in longer, and are i think going to put in a diesel engine.

for discontinued the excursion because of lackluster sales performance. it was a prime example of how americans supersize things. the excursion really was in a class of its own. sad to say, it is gone. but, ford is rumored to be planning to replace it with a longer-wheelbase expedition, with a heavy duty suspension rated as 2500 lbs. or 3/4 ton.
