Does anyone know of a good product to get odors and stains out of carpets?

I have tried just regular carpet shampoo and it is okay but does not get it all out. The stain is from our dog that likes to pee on the bottom of the stairs carpet, even after being outside. She comes into the house and pees at that spot. I am constantly cleaning that area with sprays that say it gets the stain and odor out. Or would you know if there is a spray or something to make the dog stop peeing in that spot? That would be helpful too, thanks.

Try Febreeze. We have two Bassett Hounds and
five cats and it does the job. Febreeze comes
in different scents. Spray it on the area and
let it sit for a few minutes and vacuum the area.
If it doesn't work the first time repeat once more.
Some animal urine is more concentrated than others.
There are sprays that are odorless that you can use
to deter your dog from going indoors. Ask your vet.

yes we are house training our puppy and we use febreeze, Iwish I could find something to spray that the dog would no longer have accidents in the same spot, she seems to do it also even after she has gone outside

Check with your vet. They can tell what
products are best for deterring indoor
wetting. Make sure you consult your vet
because some dogs are more sensitive then
others to these sprays.

There is a powder by arm and hammer you can put on your carpet let it sit and then vacuum it up and there is also a spay the comes in a white bottle with a green label for the life of me I can't remember what its called but most grocery stores have it and if you ask someone there they should know what it is. The spray stops them from going where you don't want them and I actually used it for my cats when I was litter training. It worked great so give those a try and you shouldn't have anymore probs

I have the arm and hammer stuff but the stuff only works so long but it still gets used. I will have to ask around about the spray you mentioned. I will definitely try it when I find it. Anything to get her to stop peeing there. I don't mind her peeing on a pad just not on my carpet, thanks.
