Salaam,
Sometimes you read something that makes you stop and think. You simplyfind wisdom which is hidden between lines. Wisdom that touches your soul and makes you run back to previous moments.
This story is one of the best succinct and affective stories that I have ever read.
The story says:
There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see theworld, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can seethe world, will you marry me?" The girl was shocked when she sawthat her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him.
Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying.
"JUST TAKE CARE OF MY EYES PLZ."
This is how humans change when their status changes. Only few remember what life was before, and who has always been there in the most painful situation.

I see your point Nika_Gab!
I have also seen people change over getting something. Eyes are something big, I have seen people change on as little things as getting good jobs. I have seen friends (not my) boasting over their better jobs and looking down at others while they were themselves jobless before. I have seen people change getting a little more wealth, degree, a car.
I don't mean they change altogether but there is sometimes change in their behavior towards people who don't have that facility or luxury. We seldom, however, think that all these worldly and material things are as good as nothing and can go like a wind. Only character and personality stays which is worth being proud of (positively).
