It is certainly pea family but whether it is a vetch or a broom or a gorse is hard to decide without seeing the foliage.
It is a very nice photo. The colour is excellent. I always find yellows rather difficult to photograph ... they tend to burn out if there is too much contrast in the lighting.

Here is a picture that has some more details. Please do check it. IT doesn't have seeds, I guess. I don't think it belongs to the pea family, though the flower looks so similar to pea flowers. This is a decorative plant. I used the stem to generate it. Hey, pls explain 'annual' andperennial' in this context. (I am a dummy, hehehehehe). I am from India. Are you an expert in this field? (botanist, horticulturist?)I apreciate your help very much.

I am not really sure. I wish I knew though. It is very pretty. My cardinial flowers sort of look like that but they are red. Hope some one can help you. I also have one here that I am not sure of. If my friend does not know what it is when she gets here, I will have to post a thread also.

I dont know the name of that flower, i think its not found where i live.
