Be honest! Whether is is a person, a belonging, a body part or something more spiritual, perhaps you life itself, we all have something we cherish. I cherish my relationships with my fiance, my family and friends even those nano-relationships you have with people, just saying good morning and smiling can set me up for the day and lift my spitits. What about you?

My husband-----------and that is not because it is 'expected' of me to say that. We have been married for almost 43 years. I have this whole life time with him to know, way down deep inside, just how great he is. He has been there during the birth of babies, he stood praying for our little baby who had to have a blood transfusion within minutes of birth. All of the good days and bad. Through sickness and health, the reality of sickness and health. He held me in his arms as I almost collapsed during the birthing of a still born grandchild, and a few hours later, he held the daughter who had just given birth to that still little one, he held daughter in his arms, crying with her as I walked out of the room with her still baby for the last time. This is the man who, when I was diagnosed with a chronic, debilitating illness, calls it 'our' problem, not solely my problem. We sit together now, dealing with the quirks of being senior citizens, with all the love and strength we have developed together over the years. MyLot doesn't have the space for me to tell you just how wonderful he is.

Like you, I cherish all of my loved ones, whether they be my mother, my father, or just my best friends or my boyfriend. They are the people who you will never lose no matter how much you change in life. The people who love you for who you truly are are the people you will never lose. They are the ones who make my life worth living. Like you said, they lift my spirits when I am being sad, mad or angry and they help make me be the person I am. They are the changing factor of my life and I value them more than anything else in the world. I don't know what I would do if I lose my parents and my best friends.
